No metal parts must be allowed to enter the battery section of the charger (short circuit risk). Never break open battery packs and chargers and store only in dry rooms. Keep dry at all times. Please pay attention to the following symbol on the label of the charger: This tool is only suitable for indoor use. Never expose tool to rain. The battery clamps of the charger are fed by the mains supply. Do not touch the tool with conducting objects. Never charge a damaged battery pack. Replace by a new one. Before use check machine, cable, and plug for any damages or material fatigue. Repairs should only be carried out by authorised Service Agents. BATTERIES New battery packs reach full loading capacity after 4 - 5 chargings and dischargings. Battery packs which have not been used for some time should be recharged before use. General note concerning NiMH batteries: The capacity of the battery is reduced when the temperature falls below -10°C. Long-term storage at temperatures higher than +40°C may have negative effects on the capacity of the battery. CHARACTERISTICS After inserting the battery into the reception of the charger the battery will automatically be charged (control lamp is illuminated continuously) When a hot or cold battery pack is inserted into the charger (flashing lamp), charging will begin automatically once the battery reaches the correct charging temperature. Standard charging time is approximately 38 minutes (1.4 Ah battery). Charging time varies depending on the battery temperature, charge needed and the type of battery pack being charged. As soon as charging is completed, the charger switches over to "trickle" charge to maintain the full capacity (lamp is switched off). The battery can be stored permanently in the charger without the danger of being overcharged. AKKUS Neue Wechselakkus erreichen ihre volle Kapazität nach 4-5 Lade-und Entladezyklen. Längere Zeit nicht benutzte Wechselakkus vor Gebrauch nachladen. Allgemeine Hinweise zu NiMH-Akkus: Die Leistungsfähigkeit ist bei Temperaturen unter -10°C nur eingeschränkt vorhanden. Langzeitlagerungen bei Temperaturen höher +40°C kann negative Auswirkungen auf die Kapazität des Akkus haben. MERKMALE Nach Einstecken des Wechselakkus in den Einschubschacht des Ladegerätes wird der Wechselakku automatisch geladen (LED leuchtet dauernd). Wenn ein zu warmer oder ein zu kalter Wechselakku in das Ladegerät eingesetzt wird (LED blinkt), beginnt der Aufladevorgang automatisch, sobald der Wechselakku die korrekte Aufladetemperatur erreicht hat. Die normale Aufladezeit beträgt ca. 38 min (bei 1,4 h Akku). Die Ladezeit kann je nach Akkutemperatrur, benötigter Auflademenge und der Akkukapazität variieren. Bei vollständig geladenem Wechselakku schaltet das Gerät auf Erhaltungsladung um für höchst nutzbare Akkukapazität (LED aus). Der Wechselakku braucht nach dem Aufladen nicht aus dem Ladegerät genommen werden. Der Wechselakku kann dauernd im Ladegerät bleiben. Er kann dabei nicht überladen werden und ist so immer betriebsbereit.
